• Yes, the TV does connection for a DVD player and iPad.

• You can connect a DVD or blue ray player, has hdmi jack for input. Connecting an iPad requires downloading an app and is not so greatt. Third party apps ate available,for sale which are not that great either. What this tv excels at though is playing movies thru a network. If you have (DLNA) capable network attached. Storage drives on a network this tv is exceptional at browsing them and playing movies on them. Supports avi, mkv, other movie formats.
