• It doesn't have a dvd player built in but you can add one. I originally had a dvd attached to it but in my case the usb port made more sense.

• No there is no built-in DVD. Yes you should be able to connect a player depending on the player output type. The TV has 2 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports, component AV connections.
