“During my research of this appliance i Have found that the major issue with it is that it freezes up and a fan then hits the ice, making a loud vibrating noise. I was wondering if Samsung has fixed this issue with it's latest models. Thanks in advance.”

I don’t know why it does that , I have not hooked up my ice maker yet. I would suggest calling the manufacture.
