Does the ice-maker still make a lot of noise? null

The ice maker is only noisy when you choose the crushed ice option.

No. I hear occasional noise from the ice maker (less often than every day). In general, it's very quiet , almost silent.

I hear a cube once or twice a week.we use the water and ice daily with no issues at all

You may hear the ice falling into the bucket if you're in the kitchen, that is standard with all ice makers. This refrigerator is relatively quiet, my old Kenmore was more noisy.
