is your refrigerator noisy? we just got our new refrigerator delivered (20 minutes ago!) and we are noticing that it's kind of noisy.. almost like a buzzing sound. i've never had a brand new refrigerator like this before, so i'm just wondering if it's normal. i know refrigerators make noise, but it's a pretty loud humming/buzzing noise. is it going to settle in and die down? thanks!

Once it cools off it get less. All new fridges make this much of noise.

My new KitchenAid makes a high pitched noise. Had it looked at by technician who said it was normal. I can’t live with it like this for the next 10 + years. Waiting to learn my options. Not too optimistic.

I don't think should be normal, but mine makes this same noise. No where could I find how many decibels any refrigerator makes before I purchased this model. I thought about returning it, but who knows how loud a different one will be. I know my old LG made less noise, but that one died on me after 6 years.

I wouldn't necessarily say it's noisy, but I do hear the motor now and again. I think it's when it is making ice but I haven't paid close attention to when it was making noise.

The humming/buzzing noise is probably related to the compressor running, and is audible because the refrigerator may not be leveled properly. The compressor should cycle on and off periodically once the refrigerator cools to its set temperature. Please refer to the User Manual for instructions on leveling the refrigerator.
