• Just noticed your question, sorry. YES, it has a dedicated CC button on the remote, so you don't need to hit the menu button a bunch of times to get to it.

• Yes, it does have closed captioning.

• Yes, there's a Closed Caption button on the remote. But if you have a cable/satellite receiver hooked up to the TV via HDMI then the CC setting would need to be turned on/off through that device.
