• You can use plastic tubing. They sell refrigerator water install kits that have an assortment of fittings and enough 1/4 plastic hose that use need.

• I'm happy to help with this, Emptynest! According to page 34 of the user manual, we recommend using a water line installation kit that contains copper tubing and a 1/4" (6 mm) compression nut. ^Jecca
