You can probably get by with less for surveillance equipment. Unless your surveillance equipment captures in 4k, it would be a bit excessive. Split screen functionality might prove handy tho. As far as warranties, I think it comes with a pretty standard factory warranty (usually won’t cover cracked screens) but I recommend going with the geek squad warranty. It’s 3 years and covers things some factory plans don’t.
