“I get Netflix to play in 4k using the HDMI port, but not the display port from my GTX 1080ti. Has anyone had any luck with this? I ordered a dp to hdmi cable; I just hope that it works.”

Reboot your computer with the monitor plugged in. Video cards disable unused ports to save resources.
