Hi there, I'm sorry you are having an issue. The soundbar should identify a Dolby signal coming from the TV via HDMI ARC. I would recommend contacting the Samsung Support center and they can work step by step with you to try to correct this issue. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Make sure input on the soundbar is on D.IN, then in tv setting (if using a Samsung) chose tv + surround. If its not a Samsung, I have always found it best to use a optical cable and not rely on the audio return channel
