- Answer No. Although there is new free Microsoft apps for Word, Excel and PowerPoint on the Google's Web Store for ChromeBooks. I do not believe they are as full featured as the PC software versions butt they can get you by for most simple editing tasks. You can also use free Google Docs that have the same basic types of productivity software as Microsoft's.
