two thirds of the griddle heat up null

The front burner can be used with or without the center griddle portion.

Hi Rory,

We appreciate your question about the front and back element for the griddle.

It is preferred to have the left rear and the left front including the bridge (space between the left rear and left front element) for the entire griddle to be heated. Please refer to pages 23 - 24 of the user manual I have shared below.
