“Does this Samsung tv upscale standard defintion well? would it have a decent picture quality? i have directv standard definiton”

• Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. As far as upscaling on this TV, I would rate as VG but not excellent. I also have a 5000 series Samsung which does a much better job of upscaling. I'm not sure why because the 5000 series is a 1080P TV which therefore has 2 million pixels so has more pixels to interpolate than the 720P.

• Its a great TV under 300 bucks, its definition and quality is great. Unless you go for 720p/1080p samsung tv version.

• It can upscale SD signals, and this model includes a great upscaling processor that will make the best of your SD signals. However the best playback will be when your source is a HD source. If you are getting an HD television, you might want to upgrade your boxes to HD boxes. You'll see an amazing difference between the two. It really is significant.
