“Can the feet be positioned differently? In the picture, there are two small feet for the base. Can you put them towards the middle instead of near the sides like in the picture? Otherwise, it might not fit on top of my bookcase that is only like 14 inches wide.”

No, the feet can only be attached near the outside edges of the base. But, you might consider wall mounting as this is a very light TV.

They aren't very big, so even if they could be moved toward the middle, I think the TV might be a little more unstable. It could be mounted on the wall, but you have to buy the wall mount kit separately.
