• Hi HELP, Yes, you can use it as an external monitor to your MacBook Pro as long as it has an HDMI port, or you will need a dongle. I have the BOSE companion connected to my monitor, but you can also use Bluetooth speakers to connect to the Macbook directly. I hear the new Apple Homepods are excellent for the type of setup you're looking for.
