“Product description here mentions 1 year for warranty, but MicroCenter and B&H advertise 3 years on their site. Is the warranty different based on who sells these? And is screen burn-in covered like the Alienware AW3423DW/DWF?”

Samsung doesn't cover screen burn in and it only runs for a year. Bnh and micro centre may b wrong or u might have mis read If u bought best buy geek squad it should cover it for the period u bought.

Best Buy wants you to purchase their extended warranty, which is a good value in my opinion because years down the road they will replace it with a new one or newer model. I've had pretty good experiences with best buy fixing or replacing stuff you have covered.
