“The problem I am having is that the lights are very DIm. How can I turn up the light to find Hi LO or Mediam? it horrible”

the blue light is fine , it is the Low med and high I cannot see. it does not light up.

The blue LED light on the knob is designed to help you locate the control and show that it’s in use — it also confirms the selected setting when turned. However, the light itself cannot be adjusted, and the heat level markings (Hi, Lo, and Medium) are not illuminated. This is why you're expected to use the appliance in a well-lit area, as the knob lighting isn’t intended to clearly show the setting in low light.
