Yes, you can set up Google Home Assistant and control the fridge using the SmartThings app. Please see the sections Set up Google Voice, Connect and use Google Assistant with SmartThings and Edit which devices Google can access, follow the steps and click the hyperlinks for further help.

I'm not a Google user but do love the fact that it integrates with my ring doorbell and my Samsung tv using SmartView

I've downloaded the SmartThings app on my iPhone 15 and it works great allowing me to control the refrigerator, dishwasher, range and microwave
