• Hi there, it makes sense to expect ice fairly quickly after installation, especially when you’re excited to start using all the features right away. Samsung French Door ice makers usually need some time to cool down before they begin producing ice. The first batch can take about 6 to 12 hours after installation. At the 6-hour mark, your refrigerator may still be within the normal range, so it’s likely still in the process of getting ready.
