This has a max resolution of 1080p.

Please try again later.Two things will either happen: It will try to fit a 4k input resolution and output it to a 1080p display which will show you a display like a scrunched up poster fitting into a small frame OR It will just auto adjust and output to 1080p. I'm pretty sure the PS4 has a setting that will allow you to change display resolutions. It will not highlight the 4k option if it detects the display not supporting 4k. This will most likely happen. Just go get a 4k TV that is good for gaming while it is still on sale.
