• It should only flash back and forth when the computer is first turned off cause it's looking for a source, but after a short period it is suppose go to sleep.

• I had this problem initially but then figured out that the control stick at the back helps select the input mode. Once I was able to correctly set it to HDMI, I did not face any issues.
