No, from my experience, working with spreadsheets on this monitor is just like any other screen - undistorted. The resolution is plenty for light office work. If you were into art or photography/video, you may want to choose a higher resolution screen. In other cases, I think this screen will be adequate (or overkill) for most office tasks.
