“Can this sound bar or any sound bar show the volume level? I would like to gage the volume when increasing or decreasing the volume and can the surround sound function be turned off - I prefer traditional sound”

Hi there, The volume is displayed on the TV for a few seconds whenever the volume is adjusted. The surround sound can be turned off (depending on the soundbar) with either the soundbar remote of through the TV's audio menu. Have a great weekend! ^Scott
