I have an Xfinity X1 cable DVR and this is how I connected it and this is the results. I have a Samsung 4K TV and I connected an HTML cable from the sound bar to the "ARC" port on the TV. I left the cable DVR connected exactly as it was. (I left my Roku connected exactly as it was too). In other words I just introduced a new HDMI cable and the sound bar. Now when I turn on the TV with the cable remote, the TV and the sound bar turn on. Sound comes from sound bar. Hitting volume up, down, or mute on the cable remote work the sound bar. Hitting the off button on the cable remote turns off he TV and sound bar. Also, while TV and sound bar are on, when switching to Roku the sound comes from the sound bar (perfect). The ARC (audio return channel) port makes this work perfectly. No codes or programming the cable remote!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can't get it to sync up either.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. The soundbar needs to set to the TV Connection source. And the TV needs to point to this soundbar (indirectly via bluetooh: what this meant is after a minute or two, the tv would recognize the soundbar automatically).
