Hi michael! The HW-A470 Soundbar is not brand restricted and features an Optical port as well as Bluetooth connectivity; if your TV supports Bluetooth connectivity or includes an Optical port, you can connect this soundbar to your TV via either of these connections. ^Tim

Yes, assuming your TV has one of the three connection options (which most, if not all TVs from the last 10+ years indeed do have): HDMI, Digital optical cable (which is included) or Bluetooth.
