• No it won't dry if there is a power outage because it has to have power to turn drum... Duh smarterthanthou

• A gas dryer will work when there is a Power Outage in your neighborhood - if ever, Duh!....The same way you should rather have a gas burning stove as opposed to electric --- then at least you can COOK!
