  • QuestionIs there any way to know how much water consumption this machine uses for the full cycle and rinse? How do I find that for each machine i am researching? Thank you for your help.

    Asked by richar73.

    • Answer Hi richar73, Thank you for reaching out to us and we are glad to know that you are using Samsung products. We are happy to receive your question about this washer. Your washing machine will detect the weight of the load and automatically adjust the optimal water level, washing time, rinse counts, and spin counts based on the cycle that is selected. This washer doesn't have the exact amount how much water it will consume because it depends on how much weight you put in. • Questionwhat side does the dryer open and what side of the washer open too. thanks so much

    Asked by CHristina.

    • Answer The washer is hinged on the left side; the dryer is hinged on the right side. This makes for easy delivery of wet laundry into the dryer . Start to finish, the system works great to make doing laundry as easy as possible. I sincerely hope this helps with your decision. I would highly recommend the Samsung washer and dryer. They are the quietest I’ve ever heard. (Most of the time, I double check if it’s actually still running)lol

  • QuestionWhat exactly does "with steam" mean as it relates to both Washer AND Dryer and WHAT extra PART do you need for the dryer to use the steam function? Can you get by without getting the extra part. I mean, can I still USE the dryer if I don't have it.

    Asked by NotReadyYet.

    • Answer I'm so glad you asked, Joni! For the washer, the steam feature helps improve stain treatment, and uses less water than non-steam cycles. The washer requires no additional set up or connections to use the steam feature. However, if you are also purchasing a dryer with steam features, the dryer will require a water line connection to use the steam functions. However, as you mentioned, if you do not connect the water line, the rest of the dryer's functions will still work as normal. ^Jecca

  • QuestionHello I just purchased this washer. I wash most of my clothes on cold to keep them lasting longer but even when I have the water temp all the way down and the steam NOT on, my clothes come out HOT. Does this washer not allow you to wash with cold water?

    Asked by delores.

    • Answer Hi delores! Your washer uses both hot and cold water dynamically, in a system called Auto Temperature Control. Also, different parts of the cycle will use either hot or cold water, or both. For instance, the Warm cycle uses only cold water until the final rinse. It is also important to note that certain temperature settings are only available on certain cycles. Page 39 of the user manual (https://bit.ly/3CAMjPz) has a helpful guide for this. ^Jecca
