My dryer is 7.5 cu samsung with sensor dry . my answer to your question is that dryers are automatically locked on a spinning mode due to safety features , thats why you cant open it. Wait till it finishes the cycle or pause it and wait till its done spinning then open it or stop the cycle then remove the plug for 1 min then plug back in just like rebooting a pc or cellphone.
