When putting screws into plastic, I always start with the action of backing them out. If you do this slowly, you will feel the treads fall into place. At that point, I start to screw it in. No issues over here
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Jenn, I was a tool maker at one point in my life, therefore I have the expertise to say. If the screw only turns two times, that is as tight as the tap is designed to be. If the screw is tight and there is no screw extended than you have it assembled correctly. If the screw is still extended and it is tight, you have crossed threaded the screw in the tapped threads. Back the screw out make sure you start screwing it in carefully (threaded correctly) and screw it in all the way tightly, to where there is no screw extended.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had that same issue and the same fears. I just applied a little more force but I never stayed on the same screw for too long. Try crewing one in till you start wondering if you should keep going then move to that screws alternate screw, the one diagonally across from it and repeat for all screws. I eventually saw all screws go flush. But I was still scared I was going to break it but nope. I hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The screws worked fine as long as the stand is perfectly flush with back of the television. You really have to line up the holes perfectly.
