“Does this TV have motion smoothing and if so can it be turned off?”

• Yes and I recommend you go through the settings. I did a lot of research on this TV and knew out of the box about the "soap opera" setup. I watched it for about an hour that way and could not believe how true it was. Once I went through and set it up how I wanted it turned out great. Excellent picture and color.

• It does, and fortunately, yes you can turn it off so all of your shows and movies stop looking like soap operas
