yes it does have Amazon Prime, I am 74 and have no difficulty with the remote although I also use the DirectTV remote more often. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.One of my Samsungs came with prime app because it was fire tv edition. Other Samsung it was easy to add at the set up screen. I also added a ton of other apps jyst to have access later if i subscribed to those providers. You may want to be selective in adding options your 80 yr old has no subscription for. Pending cognition and dexterity could be problematic with remotes. Fire tv voice remote may be beneficial
