The response time is acceptable, except for the channel advertising band that appears along the bottom of the screen when the TV is first turned on, then disappears within about 15 seconds. Why have that? I didn't buy a TV just to have channel promotion every time I turn it on. One unanticipated plus that we didn't expect is that the screen has a 3-D effect. Sure didn't expect that, but it makes for a very interesting viewing experience. We love our new TV so far. Samsung came highly recommended, and so far, it has performed. Of course, we've only had it three weeks.
