This TV as well as most Samsung TV's have their own set of free channels available, an application I was pleasantly surprised with. You just hit Guide and a list of all the channels pop up. You can also ad an Amazon Fire Stick or Roku device to stream tons of free stuff. These devices are a one time purchase with no monthly fees. And if you subscribe to Amazon Prime, you can get tones of free movies on request. I do this on my extra room TV's, where I, also do not have cable.
