Is this TV able to be hooked up to my DirecTV box? null

I do not have Direct T.V. My cable service is via Verizon. The cable box supplied to me by Verizon works well with this t.v. I should mention that I DO have to use the cable box remote to turn on and turn off the cable box itself. However all other functions, , , i.e.. . . volume up and down, channel selection, muting, etc. can be done using the t.v.'s remote. Personally, I have no problem using (2) remotes . . . one for the cable box and the other for the t.v. itself. You may want to contact Direct TV regarding this inquiry.
