I had the same issue. I didn't want to buy a table that would accommodate the tv. I also didn't want to mount it on the wall. I bought the Rfiver universal tale top tv stand from amazon. it works beautifully but it was not a no brainer to set up. The TV has a small number of screw bays. Fortunately, the Rifver comes with many different combinations of screws. One set fit perfectly, but I had to use two of the washers the kit came with to attach the mount to the second set of screw bays on the tv. Really, it's not hard. It's very stable. I'm quite happy.
