“Why do they make the stands so wide, cheap and unstable. How about a stand that starts in the middle and goes out 6-12 " each way. People would pay a little extra for a more stable stand that does not require a 33"+ wide desktop!!!”

I ended up buying the Sony Bravia 4k at BBY, mostly for the stand. I like the TV and the stand. Also, it was very easy to hook up. Samsung needs to improve their stands before I will consider them again.
