• Yes. HDR1000 is a Samsung term. It means that the TV is capable of a luminance greater than 1000 nits while playing HDR10 content. All 2016 SUHD models are certified for Ultra HD Premium, which is the highest standard for UHD/HDR. (LG OLED sets may be better in many ways, but they are more expensive and not as bright.)
