The UN49MU7000FXZA base Is shaped like a triangle. The distance between the outermost points of the two front legs is 34 inches. The point of the triangle at the back supports a base to which the chassis is attached. The distance from the back side of the base to the midpoint of a line drawn between the outer tips of the two front legs is 12". So, a platform 34" long and 12" wide is the absolute minimum but it would be excessively vulnerable to being dislodged.
