• Motion rate and the # of HDMI inputs. 120 with 3 inputs for 7, and 240 with 4 inputs for 8.

• Well I compared 7000 to 8000 spec sheet on both tv's and found both have motion rate of 120. Someone else said 240 for 8000 but unless there is a typo both have 120 motion rate. One have hdr pro and the other hdr extream. The rest is either identical or number of different input/output.

• Most likely the difference is the 8000 is a newer model. Check the specs and see if they include anything more or less.
