"LED LCD". Both LED and LCD, like most TVs and computer monitors sold these days. LEDs, which provide the bulk unstructured backlight illumination, shine through an LCD display; the LCD creates the detailed picture. Here's what this TV does not have: it does not have fluorescent light bulbs providing illumination (found only in old-fashioned LCD displays). It does not have organic-LED "OLEDs" which provide both light and the detailed picture (in 2017, OLEDS are found only on very expensive TV's and monitors, and on some smaller items like smartphones and smartwatches).
