It uses Pixel shift technology to occasionally offset the pixels. I also use hide the Taskbar option when I don't need to see the Taskbar icons. However, during my normal work hours I need to see them. I also set my screensaver to a Plain black screen. There is also an automatic pixel refresh function that pops after using the monitor for an extended amount of time. this powers off the monitor and runs some maintenance that is supposed to reduce or eliminate the effects of burn ins. I have been using this monitor for two months or so now, I use it in a productivity mode most of the time and I do game a little, watch Movies etc. I have not experienced any hint of burn in so far.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The monitor has a pixel shift type thing to try and prevent burn in. Not sure how it works, or how well it works. If you want the size of the monitor, Samsung makes a 49” ultra wide that isn’t OLED, and it’s cheaper than this. The only time you’ll notice the OLED characteristics are if you watch movies, play games, or edit photos/videos; where you can notice the color contrasting more. If it’s solely for normal computer work, I’d suggest other monitors, if it’s for intense graphical work, it’s good
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If it is anything like the Alienware, it begs you to refresh the pixels every 4 hours of hard use. You can set this to run when the monitor goes to sleep, but even tha5 can be annoying if you step away for 10 minutes and find the monitor doing a 40 minute refresh (you can interrupt it). If LG had a higher resolution OLED Ultra-wide, I would jump on theirs in a minute.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it can very well be used as a productivity monitor. I Highly suggest getting best buys warranty coverage, as this monitor is more prone to burn in. Samsung states 1 year of coverage for your burn in. Best Buy will cover you longer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The monitor has Pixel shift as well as screen optimization built in. You can turn this on and 8 hours a day of productivity shouldn't be an issue from what I've seen thus far. I'm only 1 month in but I personally keep my brightness low.
