Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Paulie, if you’re still pondering this question, then you should seriously consider using the HDMI connections on your TV and sound bar. In the ever changing world of A/V technology, the most advanced method of transferring hardwired audio and video signals is currently by using the HDMI in/out on your components. Just be sure to check the performance specifications on the cable you use and verify that it’s compatible with your setup. High quality components require good cables to perform at their best but try not to become a victim of the exaggerated claims that some cable vendors use to scam people that aren’t familiar with the system requirements. When in doubt, read the instruction manual that came with your component. Saying you threw it away is no longer an excuse. It’s available online. A little knowledge goes a long way. Technology is our friend. The lowlifes driven by greed ARE NOT. Any the beat goes on....
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They will both sound great. The optical is easier to use. Just go from your tv optical out to the soundbar. Then whatever is playing on the tv will be coming through the soundbar. You won't have to be changing inputs on the soundbar all the time.
