• Both sub woofer and sound bar I have to be plugged into an AC adapter but the sub woofer doesn’t have to be located next to the sound bar you could be plugged in on it’s own in hooked up to Bluetooth

• You have to run a wire (HDMI, Optical audio or USB) from the TV to the sounder, unless you have a TV with a bluetooth output. There is also a power chord that must be run to it. The subwoofer is wireless, but again has a power chord that will need a wall outlet.
