Hey BestSoundMode - The best sound will be determined on what audio codec the soundbar is being fed. The HW-Q60T can decode DTS, Dolby Digital , as well as DTS Virtual : X. You can also add the wireless rear kit SWA-8500S for surround sound expansion. The HW-Q60T does use Samsung's Acoustic Beam Technology which can put sound behind you where speakers don't exist give you a 5.1 setup. ^Jason
