It has ARC (2 way HDMI basically) with one input/output....typically used for cable/dish. Anything else you can hook to your tv (blueray, roku, chromecast, etc...) will also automatically play thru the speaker with the ARC line. The ARC line will even power the soundbar on/off when you turn the tv on/off and the tv remote volume will work with the speaker with no additional programming. It also has bluetooth and USB inputs. Using my speaker for bluetooth is really the only time I use the speaker remote but that can also be selected on the the speaker itself as well.
