QuestionWe just got our new range today and the installers ran it through an hour long bake cycle at 425 to burn off residue. My question is, is it normal for the cooktop surface to get extremely hot when oven is being used?

- Answer We just had our oven delivered and hooked up. We ran the burn in and sure enough, the cooktop is pretty hot. I can touch it but I wouldn't leave my hand on it. Tried placing a plastic container on it to see if it melted bu it did not but it definitely seems too hot. I called Samsung tech support and they said, "It is normal for the cook top to get hot during baking with a glass top stove." I informed them that I have had several different glass cook top stoves over a period of 25 years and never had one that I couldn't touch if I was baking. The support tech was not phased, " Did you see the warnings in the manual about the cooktop getting hot"? "Yes I did, after I bought and installed the oven. Are you saying too hot to touch is normal for this oven?", I asked. "Yes sir, the glass cooktop does get hot when baking. That is a normal problem, I mean normal operation for this type of stove.", he tech replied again. Anyway I certainly would not prepare anything on this stove top while baking at higher temps. It will probably start cooking before your done preparing it.

QuestionI want to ask If normal on the left top corner of glass stove seems like it's not sealed totally when you wipe or cleaned on that corner there's a click noise and its goes down a little and go back up. On the right corner it don't do that? Just bought it

- Answer No I wouldn't say it is normal. Having mine raplaced due to appearance of burn spots under the glass. If anything else happens with this brand I will change products altogether.

QuestionWe just bought this model a few days ago. Just want to ask if you set for regular bake only does the fan inside is on? Coz whenever we set for regular bake only the fan is on. Just thought it only turned on the fan if you set it on convectional bake?

- Answer Mine does as well. It helps circulate the heat in the oven and bake more evenly is what I have been told. The third element only comes on when you choose convection bake. I have bought a convection cookbook to help me understand how to use it better.

- Answer Here are the instructions from page 35 of the manual- 1. Select the length of time for the self-cleaning operation, eg. 3 hours. Press Self Clean once for a 3 hour clean time, twice for a 5 hour clean time, or 3 times for a 2 hour clean time. The default setting is 3 hours. 2. Press START/SET. The motor-driven door lock will engage automatically. • You will not be able to start a self-cleaning cycle if the control lockout feature is activated or if the oven’s temperature is too hot. • The oven door locks automatically. The display will show the clean time remaining. You will not be able to open the oven door until the selfcleaning operation is complete and the temperature drops to a safe/cool temperature. • The self-cleaning feature will not operate when the warming center is on. 3. When the self-cleaning cycle is done, "End" will appear in the display and the range will beep several times. QuestionCan I change the 1600 wattage to 1250? And if so how? It blows the circuit as soon as the oven hits 300 so not able to even burn residue. This is on electrician advice who checked amperage at the circuit board.

QuestionJust bought a new glass top stove and after the 3rd use, the top of the range has blistered and my cleaner doesn't fix it. We are calling Samsung, but is this typical can it be fixed or is this a flaw in mine?

- Answer I also seem to have a bit of blistering on my front left three ring burner which occured on my very first use. I'm worried it will get worse if I try to use higher burner temps. I doubt any cleaner will fix it and I have not yet called either Samsung or the Geek Squad but will likely do so soon. i will be interested in knowing what Samsung says to you as I have the very same model you do and also recently purchased. Stay in touch.
