The size is the first thing as this is 50" and that is 55". Next is that model will have some additional higher end features such as high Dynamic range and there is even another model above that one with even better TV components. It depends how much of a TV quality person you are. If you have higher end audio equipment then you might want a higher end TV to go along with it but most people will be happy with the 6300 model, I know I am.
