I know it’s close but could this tv stand on a 40” table? null

The distance between the legs is 39" (total distance covered by the legs). You can move the legs in closer to cover a smaller distance. HOWEVER, it is recommended that you place the TV on a stand that is at least as wide as the TV (44").

No, this won't stand properly in a 40” table.
