“I see where there is a digital optical output on this TV. Can you turn off the speakers and use the digital output only for wireless speakers? is there a setting in the audio section to do this?”

I haven't used the digital output for speakers on this TV, but have 2 other Samsung TVs that I have used the output for external/wireless speaker systems (Sonos). I assume this would work the same. Note: if you are using Sonos it may take a few attempts to have the sound system work correctly, unless they worked the bugs out of their app.
