Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Most wall mounts use 1/4 inch lag screws, and I would use at least 2 1/4 inch long screws if you're going into wooden studs. Which is highly recommended. If its a simple flat mount (no tilt or articulation), you can mount into drywall, but that depends on the weight of your mount, the condition of the drywall, etc. I recently used a product called SnapToggle (Lowes has them) to mount a tv into 1/2" drywall. These are a version of the airplane toggles, and hold a tremendous amount of weight, with the advantage of being able to take the screws in and out. And the screws are included.
